Back-Up Your Computer For FREE

Blog by Robert McLean | February 8th, 2010

I’m not sure what has been happening with my computers lately but I seem to have had a run of bad luck; hard drive crashes, failures and other problems.   Even worse than that, the company that I use for all of my professional real estate photography, virtual tours, signs, business cards etc had their computer server crash last week too...all data lost.  Ugh.

With all of the trouble that I’ve been having lately and with memories of lost files and pictures still fresh in my mind, I started researching different ways to back up my data.  I heard of a service called Mozy approximately 1 year ago but never looked into because I thought it’d be too expensive.  Well, I wish I had checked it out because it’s FREE!  They do offer paid back-up service but if you sign up for the free service, you’ll get 2 gigabytes of back-up....I think that’s more than enough for most home computers.

They also offer a service whereby if you refer a friend, the friend (and you) get an additional 512 mb of free back-up...sooooo, check out Mozy by clicking this link and we’ll both get some free data back-up

If the link doesn’t work, you can simply go to www.mozy.com and enter my referral code 2PCVY5 upon sign-up.

Still not convinced? Have a look at this NBC news report that I just found:

Click the link below to get 2 Gigs Free + a bonus 512 mb (and you'll give me 512 mb free too :)
